I often heard that we should pray for peace, pray for the poor, the sick, the homeless, pray for justice, etc. Those intentions are all noble and of course we should pray for the intentions being asked of us and we have agreed to but in general we should use our more effectively and more selectively especially in this critical time.

In 1917, the time in which World War I was ravaging the whole Europe, Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three peasant children in Fatima, and among many things, she did teach us how to pray. Preceding the Mother of God to appear to the three children was the Angel of Peace. Now let us learn from the heavenly visitors how we should pray.

The Angel:

"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love you. I beg pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You."

"Offer up everything within your power as a sacrifice to the Lord in an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended; and of supplication for the conversion of sinners. Thus invoke peace upon your country. I am her Guardian Angel; the Angel of Portugal. Above all, accept and bear with submission the sufferings that the Lord may send you."

"  Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all tabernacles of the earth, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners."

Blessed Virgin Mary:

" Do you want to offer yourselves to God to endure all the sufferings that He may choose to send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended and as a supplication for the conversion of sinners."

" I will take Jacinta and Francisco soon. You ( Lucia, the oldest child ,) however, are to stay here a longer time. Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish the Devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the World. I promise salvation to those who embrace it and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne."

" Does this ( staying behind )cause you to suffer a great deal? I will never leave you, my Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and way that will lead you to God."

" Sacrifice yourselves for sinners; and say often, especially when you make some sacrifice: ' My Jesus, it is for love of You, for conversion of sinners, and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.' "

" Pray! Pray a great deal and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell for not having someone to pray and make sacrifices for them. "

" I want to tell you that they must build a chapel here in my honor; that I am the Lady of the Rosary; that they continue to say the Rosary every day. The war will end and the soldiers will return to their homes soon. "

" They must mend their lives, ask for forgiveness for their sins. Offend not Our Lord any more, for He is already much offended."

" You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them God wants to establish throughout the world the devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If people will do what I will tell you, many souls will be saved, and there will be peace. The war is going to end. But if they do not stop offending God, another and worse war ( World War II ) will break out in the reign of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that is the great sign that God gives you, that He is going to punish the world for its crimes by means of war, hunger, persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father.

   To forestall this, I shall come to ask the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays.

  If they heed my request, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace. If not, she shall spread her errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecutions of the Church; the good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated; in the end, my Immaculate Heart shall triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, which will be converted, and some time of peace will be given to the world. "
 

My comments:

Keep in mind that the last message above to the three children was given long before Russia became a prominent world power and long before anybody heard of communism. And up to now, Russia is never consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by the Holy Father in unison with all the bishops of the world. The tragic consequence is Russia has spread errors throughout the world by spreading atheistic doctrine and weapons of wars throughout the world, to China, Iran, Iraq, Libya, and so on,  and probably to terrorists as well, directly or indirectly. The Holy Father and the Church shall suffer greatly. War shall break out, many nations shall be annihilated, but at the end, peace will return by invoking the Intercession of the Mother of God. The Devotion to Our Lady will be spread worldwide. The Holy Father and all the bishops will consecrate Russia to her.

Trust me, my brothers and sisters in Christ, the easiest way to love the Lord more deeply and to save more sinners is to go through Our Lady by praying the Holy Rosary, offering it to the love of God, to your own conversion and the conversion of all sinners, and to the reparation of sins  including our own. And during war-time, offer your prayers also for the safety of your loved ones, our troops in battle and for peace.
